MAKING DECISIONS OF FAITH

THE FOUNDATION OF FAITH

By Pst, Blaise Monyuyta-ah Litila

For faith to be established as faith, it must be tested. The test of faith comes in the most critical moments of life. It comes with pain that pieces sore, from the ridicule, the mockery, the distress from spiritual afflictions. Many have suffered heart breaking deceptions and disappointments. Many people go through sicknesses and situations they never ever imagined they could find their selves in. When such things begin to happen in your life you should know that you are going through the test of faith. What ever situation you may find yourself in, If you must come out victorious, you must anchor your faith on something stronger than your challenge. Giving up on your challenges is not an option to take. The step you should take is the the step of faith. It is the best to take. you don’t need to wait for a preacher here. Start preaching to yourself, and if a preacher comes your way with a message of encouragement, fine. The scripture says if you fail in the day of adversity then your strength is small. Take a look at the scripture below. remember what you say of yourself is what you become. Don’t dare to say my strength is small.

Pr. 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. (KJV)

What you anchor your faith on determines the kind of storms you will be able to stand. When engineers are designing foundations they analyze carefully the kind of loads or forces the structure will be subjected to. A careful analysis of the spiritual realm is needed to determine what kind of power you need. The BIBLE provides very reliable knowledge or revelations, of the powers that be and their operations, and what they have been able to accomplish, as a basis for our faith. Knowing exactly how powers that be operate and by what authority they operate is very vital to the choice you make. Every choice of spiritual submission we make, brings us under spiritual servitude and obligations. Do not make the choice of power and fame that makes you bow down to Satan. look at the scripture below.

Lu 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. {worship me: or, fall down before me}(KJV)

The devil is seen to make an offer of power to Jesus, but Jesus rejected the offer. Jesus had an understanding of the final consequence of such power. If Jesus accepted the offer of Satan he would never have become the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

let us look briefly at the consequences of making the devil your source of power. 1. you become his servant to kill, steal and destroy. you will sacrifice loved ones on ritual altars for your empowerment and riches. living well and seeing your loved ones languish in poverty is that the kind of riches you want? 2 you will make your own brothers and sisters spiritual slaves toiling for your riches and when Satan is hungry for blood he will ask you to provide. 3 you will be asked to do those abominable things that rightly insult your creator. 4 you will become a touch bearer of lies (darkness) that blinds men to the power of God and ties them to stands that keep them as preys for the devouring devil. 5 you will loose your fellowship with God, loose your place in Gods kingdom and loose your soul.

WHERE IS YOUR LOVE FOR GOD? WILL YOU FORSAKE YOUR MAKER FOR THINGS THAT PERISH?

What has the devil offered you that has made you to forsake your creator? There is nothing that the devil will give you, that he won’t collect with interest

This are things you must say to yourself in the midst of the storm. 1. I know who I am, I am a child of God and God lives in me and he that lives in me is greater than he that is in the world 2. I am a carrier of Gods power. the Power of God at work in my life is invincible. 3. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 4 Mic 7:8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me.(NKJV) 5 Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;(NKJV) Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: {And…: or, After I shall awake, though this body be destroyed, yet out of my flesh}

6 Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.(KJV) 7 Ps 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
(KJV)

4. Now this is the stand of Light, of Peace and joy that God expects us to take

THE ESSENCE OF HUMAN EXISTENCE

People everywhere are busy over one thing or the other. Most often our activities are driven by the need for livelihood. Having what to carter for our needs seems to be the main preoccupation man, but is this actually the whole essence of life? Who defines the essence of our lives? Our lives are essentially a gift from God and he reserves the sovereignty over mankind. He has defined his expectations from man in his Holy word outlined in blueprints of the Bible, which is often described as the manual of life. Although he does compel us to his will, he puts it forth to us as the guide to successful and happy life.

Deut 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you, life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live (AMP)

Why should I live and miss out on Gods plan for my life?

There is no lasting dignity and legacy outside God’s will. If you desire to live an outstanding life, with a trans-generational impact, you have to start considering the will of the everlasting God. What we do today, actually becomes a foundation for the future.

Many people who live outside the will of God, often start in buoyancy of fame and greatness, but their end is more tragic and painful.

Matt 16:26-27

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (KJV)

Living for Christ is living in partnership with Christ. Jesus Christ is revealed to humanity in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. When we meditate in the Holy Scriptures and take them to heart, our spirits are nourished and made alive. When we meditate in his word and allow his word to rule our actions, the similitude of Gods mindset is built in us. This is the image in which man was originally made, that of oneness of mind with the thoughts of God’s heart, until corruption came through Adam.

The essence of human existence is to “Serve God happily, by joyfully fellowshipping with God and man”. All our efforts in life must seek to advance God’s course, in our domain of calling. If our effort is motivated by a desire to see God’s will being done among men, then we will obviously have our reward. Service entails sacrifice and at times painful sacrifice. Therefore to serve happily, though going through challenges, we must make up our minds. The strength of such a service is the fact that through your service, God’s good and holy will is being accomplished. The pain endured during service, is the reason for the joy after the service. The degree of endurance will determine the extent of the satisfaction and happiness we derive at success!

Ps 1:1-3

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (KJV)

Ps 119:105

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (KJV)

Ps 119:98

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. (KJV)

Ps 119:130

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. (KJV)

Ps 119:140

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. (KJV)

Ps 119:160

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. (KJV)
